This month at The Creativity Project the theme is bokeh. Bokeh is the out of focus part of a picture, or the blur. There are so many opportunities to create different types of bokeh that add interest to an image. It's one of the things I think about first when I shoot. I tend to be a wide open shooter, and I love to use bokeh to help tell a story in my images. If you sift through my blog you will see many of those types of pictures. Often times I use people to create bokeh, sometimes I use objects, and every now and then the entire image itself will just be made up of bokeh. That brings me to my one and only image for the theme this month. The holidays bring such amazing opportunities to capture bokeh. I decided to share an image full of bokeh from our Christmas tree. This simple shot of our tree is something I like to capture every year, and once our tree goes up I like to spend lots of time sitting close to it and the fire. I hope you are enjoying this time of year as much as I am. Please visit my friend Julia's blog for more fantastic bokeh images.
